South Puget Sound Community College has offered an intercollegiate program since the 1988-89 academic year. SPSCC began offering opportunities in men's soccer beginning Fall of 1988, women's fastpitch softball beginning Spring of 1989, and men's and women's basketball beginning fall of 1992.

The college's athletic teams are founded on a philosophy that puts academic goals in the forefront and considers participation in intercollegiate athletics a privilege.

Clipper athletics is supported by Services & Activities fees that are paid by students at the time of registration at the college. Booster funds are used to help support the needs of the Clipper Athletics that S&A fees do not cover. These needs include such things as equipment, grant-in-aid, team tournament travel and recruitment.

Individual Levels

First Mate $25.00 - Membership card, name listed on web site, 1 Gold Pass - admits two people to all home athletic events.

Quarterdeck $50.00 - Membership card, name listed on web site, quarterly newsletter, 2 Gold Passes - admits two people to all home athletic events

Clipper $100.00 - Membership card, certificate and pin, name listed in all sports programs, name listed on web site, quarterly newsletter, 4 Gold Passes - admits two people to all home athletic events

Company/Business Levels

Captain's Club $500.00 - Membership certificate, business name included in all sports programs, 4 Gold Passes - admits two people to all home athletic events, business name included on Booster web site

Admiral's Club $750.00 - Membership certificate, business advertisement (streamer) included in all sports programs (provide ad logo if desired), 8 Gold Passes - admits two people to all home athletic events, business name included on Booster web site
