South Puget Sound Community College Fastpitch Softball team increased their
home run total to 135 during the NWAACC Championships. The Clippers
combined for 8 homeruns in four games during the tournament - Desiree Boswell
(2),
Jackie Hawkins (2), Amanda Homann, Ryan Horton, Ciara Phillips, and Stephanie
Robinson.The
Clippers hold the
national
college homerun record of 135 (52 games) breaking University of
Arizona’s (NCAA Division I) record of 126 set in 2001 (69 games). The Clippers
finished the season with a 42-10 (overall), 28-2 (league) record.
