Activities
There are many
different clubs and activities to participate in on campus. Here we highlight
those that might be of particular interest to International students.
International
Student Association (ISA): The focus of ISA is to bring
many different cultures together. This group sponsors a trip to
Canada every year for International students and puts together a
variety of parties to celebrate different holidays. ISA also sponsors
fund-raising and community service projects.
Language
Partners Program (LPP): The LLP starts up every quarter
and creates the opportunity for International students to work one-on-one
with American students. The focus is to help International students
work on their English skills and for American students to learn
more about different cultures.
International
Dinner: This annual dinner is a chance to celebrate the
diversity we have on campus and around the world. Food, music and
dance from different parts of the globe come together for a night
of fun!
International
Night at Michael T. Simmons Elementary School

Our students
were asked to come host a booth at the International Night at Michael
T. Simmons Elementary school. We had a great turn out with students
representing Japan, Taiwan, Russia, Hong Kong, Turkmenistan, Macao
and Vietnam! The elementary students were able to play games, make
bookmarks and more. Students spent the week before the event making
paper cranes to hang in the elementary school library.
