Admission Requirements
We are very pleased you have
chosen South Puget Sound Community College as your study destination.
Please submit the following documents to International Student Services:
1. Completed
application
2. $40.00 (U.S. dollar)
non-refundable application fee (note: the application fee must be
paid before an application can be processed.)
Applicants have the following payment options:
-Personal check made
out to "SPSCC"
-Money order
-Credit card (please provide
the number and expiration date on the application form)
3. Official Financial
Statement showing U.S. funds for $15,156 (year) or $5,052 (one quarter)
4. Applicants must be 17 years of age. If applicants are younger than 18
years of age, they must submit a Release
of Liability form signed by parents or legal guardians.
5. Official transcripts
from any colleges/universities attended (optional).
If you are an international student transferring to South Puget Sound Community College from another school in the U.S., please also provide:
1. International
Student Advisor Report
2. Photocopies of previously
issued I-20's, your I-94 (Arrival/Departure Card), and visa page
from passport.
Once you have been admitted
to South Puget Sound Community College and have presented financial
guarantee documents showing that you have adequate resources to
support your studies for one academic year (with the understanding
that resources will be available to you for each year of study thereafter),
the International Student Services staff will issue the Form I-20
.
Please take the I-20 together with your Letter of Acceptance,
financial guarantee documents and a valid passport to the U.S. Embassy
or Consulate having jurisdiction over your place of permanent residence
and apply for a student visa to study at South Puget Sound Community
College. It is also a good idea to check if the U.S. Embassy or
Consulate need additional information.
In addition, you must
also pay the new SEVIS fee before going to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate.
